Life is full of joys, sorrows, grief, and loss. Maybe you've tried to fix things on your own, but life isn't getting any better. You've been holding it together, but you're not sure how long you can keep it up. Sometimes we need the guidance of someone outside our family and friends to help us work through those things that cause us anxiety or stress. If you're looking for someone to help you move past feeling "stuck"and move forward to a place of wholeness and healing, meeting with a knowledgeable therapist may be that nudge you need.
I have experience working with children, teens, adults and couples. I want to help my clients grow in their understanding of themselves, their situation and learn new skills to move forward in life.
Do you constantly worry? Does anxiety take up much of your thought life? Are you having panic attacks? I can help you learn new skills to manage your stress, and get a handle on your worry with anxiety counseling.
Overwhelming, stressful events can make us feel like we are living life stuck in the mud. If you have experienced a trauma, and need help moving forward, I offer trauma counseling to help you find healing.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Candidate, I have training and experience supporting couples who need to reconnect in their marriage. I can help you and your spouse learn to communicate more effectively and learn to work better as a team with marriage counseling.
I consider it an honor to journey alongside others towards healing and living more whole, restored, fulfilling lives. I work with my clients to set goals for counseling, and together we will make a plan to help you achieve progress and find relief from life's stresses.
Whether it's something you are trying to resolve within yourself or with a loved one, I would love to meet with you, wherever you are in your journey. I seek to meet my clients where they're at, from a place of non-judgement and of empathy and compassion. It would be my pleasure to provide insight and a safe space for you to work things out.
I am an East Coast native, but have lived all over the U.S., including Southern California and Maui, where I graduated with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015. I have 5+ years of experience working with children, teens/young adults, couples/parents, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, especially Korean counseling clients.
Outside of providing therapy, I love yoga, hiking, crafting, and being anywhere near the water!
I integrate several approaches including:
· Family Systems
· Structural Therapy
· Bowenian Therapy
· Experiential Therapy
· Emotionally Focused Therapy
· Expressive Arts
With children, I like to incorporate Play Therapy.
For Christian clients who would like to incorporate Christian counseling/prayer, we can also include this practice in our sessions as my Christian faith is integral to how I hold onto hope for others.
