1018 N Bethlehem Pike Suite 201 A, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002
You’ve probably been thinking about this for a while. Reaching out for therapy is not a small decision, and it makes sense to want to know what you’re walking into before you take that step.
The questions below are the ones people ask us most often. If something isn’t here, reach out directly and our team will get back to you within one business day. You won’t be waiting long.
We’re located at 1018 N. Bethlehem Pike, Suite 201A, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002, in the Springhouse area, with easy access from Ambler, Blue Bell, Fort Washington, Horsham, and surrounding communities. Free parking is available on site.
If getting to an office isn’t realistic right now, we also offer telehealth sessions to clients anywhere in Pennsylvania. You can start therapy from wherever feels right for you.
Our therapists offer sessions Monday through Friday, with some evening availability depending on the clinician. When you reach out, we’ll work to connect you with someone whose schedule fits yours. Therapy only works when you can actually show up for it.
We don’t accept insurance. Lime Tree Counseling is a private-pay practice, meaning you pay directly for sessions. Fees range from $135 to $180 depending on your clinician’s experience level.
We can provide a monthly superbill, a detailed receipt, that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether your plan covers any of the cost depends on your specific policy. We’d recommend calling the member services number on your insurance card and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.
Many clients find that private-pay therapy gives them more say over the focus, frequency, and direction of treatment. No diagnosis required to drive the process.
Session fees range from $135 to $180 depending on your clinician. You’ll know your specific fee before your first appointment. We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash and HSA/FSA payments.
The first session is a structured conversation. Your therapist will ask about what brought you in, your background, and what you’re hoping therapy will actually do for you. You’ll also have space to ask questions. This goes both ways.
By the end of the first session, you and your therapist will have started to identify what you want to work toward and what the process will focus on. Most people leave feeling like they were heard and like there’s a real direction forward. That’s what the first session is for.
After you submit an inquiry, our team will reach out within one business day to confirm availability. From there, most clients are seen within one to two weeks, depending on clinician availability.
You don’t have to wait months. We’ve built the intake process to be simple because we know that once someone decides they’re ready, the last thing they need is a long wait.
We schedule a brief consultation call before your first appointment so you can ask questions and get a real sense of the fit. We take this seriously. If we’re not the right match for what you’re dealing with, we’ll say so directly and help point you somewhere better.
Our therapists are licensed professionals who use evidence-based approaches including CBT, EMDR, and relational therapy. You can read about each clinician on our team page to get a sense of who might be the right fit before you reach out.
We work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional abuse recovery, marriage and relationship concerns, recovery from narcissistic parenting, addictions, and EMDR therapy. We also offer optional Christian counseling for clients who want their faith to be part of the process.
If you’re not sure whether what you’re dealing with fits what we treat, just ask. We’ll give you a direct answer.
Yes, and it’s entirely your call whether faith is part of the work.
We don’t assume that because you’re a person of faith, you want it woven into therapy. But if your beliefs shape how you understand yourself, your relationships, and what you want your life to look like, your therapist can work within that. For many clients, being able to bring their whole self into the room, including their faith, makes the work feel more honest.
Christian counseling at Lime Tree is not pastoral care or Bible study. It’s licensed, evidence-based therapy that takes your faith seriously as part of who you are.
Yes. We offer marriage and couples counseling for partners who want to address communication patterns, emotional disconnection, conflict cycles, and relationship concerns. Couples counseling is available in person and via telehealth across Pennsylvania.
One important note: we do not conduct couples therapy in situations where there is active emotional or physical abuse in the relationship. If that situation applies to you, please reach out directly and we’ll talk through what would actually help.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma and PTSD. It works by helping the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer carry the same weight in daily life.
It’s effective for people who’ve experienced specific traumatic events, childhood trauma, abuse, accidents, or other experiences that continue to affect how they function today. EMDR is structured and goal-directed. It is not open-ended. Our trained therapists will determine whether it’s the right fit for your situation and walk you through exactly what to expect before you start.
Yes. Our therapists are licensed in Pennsylvania, which means we can provide telehealth to clients anywhere in the state. We cannot see clients who are outside the state. Licensure laws require that you are in Pennsylvania during sessions.
If you’re currently out of state but will be returning to Pennsylvania, reach out when you’re back and we’ll get you set up.
That uncertainty is more common than you might think. That does not mean therapy is not worth trying.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from it. You don’t have to have the right words for what’s wrong. A lot of people start therapy not entirely sure why they’re there, and that’s okay. The work is in figuring it out together.
If you’re on the fence, the scheduling call is a low-pressure way to ask questions before committing to anything. There’s no obligation to book after the call.
You can schedule a call with our team directly on our schedule a call page, or call us at 267-477-3265. Getting started here is intentionally simple. Once you’ve made this decision, the process should not get in the way.
