Erin Kennedy, counselor at Lime Tree Counseling

Meet Erin Kennedy, MS, LPC Candidate

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, sadness, or confusion begin to build. You might feel tired, unmotivated, or unsure how to handle everything you are carrying. Erin understands how exhausting this can feel. She offers calm, compassionate support so you do not have to sort through your emotions on your own.

Erin helps clients make sense of what they are feeling, understand why life has been so difficult, and take clear steps toward feeling more grounded. Her style is warm, steady, and grounded in evidence-based care. She believes healing begins when you feel safe, supported, and respected in the room.

Trauma and Anxiety Counseling for Individuals

Many of the people who work with Erin have lived through trauma, emotional abuse, or painful childhood experiences. These experiences can take a toll on your sense of safety, your confidence, and your ability to trust yourself or others. You may notice strong reactions that feel out of proportion or find yourself stuck in patterns you cannot explain.

Erin approaches trauma work with patience and clarity. She helps clients understand what happened and how it continues to affect their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Erin uses trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR therapy when appropriate, to help clients process difficult memories in a safe and structured way. Her goal is to help you rebuild stability, strengthen your identity, and regain a sense of worth and internal calm.

Grief Counseling and Emotional Abuse Recovery Support

Erin also supports individuals who are grieving or navigating major life changes. Grief can show up in many forms and rarely follows a predictable path. You may feel waves of sadness, anger, numbness, or confusion that make daily life feel heavier than usual. Some clients come to Erin after the loss of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, or during a divorce that has shaken their sense of stability. Others are trying to recover from emotional abuse that has left them questioning their worth, doubting their instincts, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Erin provides steady guidance and a safe place to process pain that feels complicated or overwhelming. She helps you slow down, name what you are feeling, and understand how these experiences are affecting your mind, body, and relationships. Her approach is clear and grounded, giving you a way to move forward with compassion for yourself and rebuild a sense of direction and hope at a pace that feels manageable.

Couples Counseling to Strengthen Connection and Communication

Erin works with couples who feel disconnected, overwhelmed by conflict, or unsure how to move forward together. She helps partners slow down the cycles that keep them stuck, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and communicate with more clarity and care.

Her approach is steady and practical. She listens closely to each partner, helps both people feel heard and understood, and guides the relationship toward healthier patterns. Erin supports couples in rebuilding trust, strengthening emotional safety, and creating a more stable foundation for their relationship.

Couples appreciate her calm presence and her ability to bring insight, structure, and direction to conversations that often feel confusing or tense. Erin offers clear tools that help partners work together instead of against each other.
