Support Rooted in Faith
For clients who want to include their faith in counseling, Marcia offers Christian counseling that integrates biblical insight with evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She helps clients consider how their beliefs can inform their decisions, strengthen their resilience, and bring clarity to the challenges they are facing. For clients who do not want to focus on spirituality, Marcia provides the same steady, respectful, and goal-oriented support. Her priority is to understand each person’s perspective and help them make meaningful progress in a way that fits their values.
Overcoming Anxiety with Practical Tools
Anxiety can show up as constant worry, intrusive thoughts, physical tension, or a sense of being on edge. Marcia helps clients understand what fuels their anxiety and teaches practical tools to reduce its impact. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to support emotional regulation and coping. Her approach gives clients clear strategies to calm their mind, manage stress, and feel more in control of their daily life.
Healing from Emotional Abuse
Emotional abuse can undermine a person’s confidence, sense of safety, and ability to trust their own judgment. Experiences such as manipulation, gaslighting, or controlling behavior often leave people feeling unsure of themselves or unclear about what is healthy in relationships. Marcia specializes in helping individuals understand the effects of emotional abuse, rebuild their confidence, and strengthen their sense of self. She supports clients as they learn to set clear boundaries, recognize harmful patterns, and create relationships and daily routines that feel stable and respectful.
