Meet Rachel Lee, MA

Life doesn’t always turn out the way we hoped, does it? Maybe you’re asking yourself questions like, Why do I feel this way? or Is it normal to have these thoughts? You’re not alone in wondering if you’re the only one struggling. The truth is, many people feel this way—and there’s a way forward.

If you’re processing a painful experience, wrestling with grief, or struggling in your relationships, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll work through the challenges you’re facing so you can experience healing and create a life filled with healthier, more meaningful connections.

Hope for Teens and Adults Facing Trauma and Grief

I specialize in helping teens and adults navigate trauma, grief, and loss. Whether you’re sorting through painful memories, working on a parent-child relationship, or reflecting on how your cross-cultural identity has shaped you, I can guide you through the process with care and compassion.

Using proven, trauma-focused approaches, we’ll address the hard things together, so you can gain clarity, find balance, and build a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

If you’re considering counseling, you might feel uncertain or even nervous about taking this step. That’s okay—it’s normal to feel that way! Therapy is a courageous decision that leads to greater self-awareness, healing, and growth.

When you work with me, you’ll find a safe, supportive space to process your thoughts and emotions. We’ll work together to understand the weight you’re carrying and develop practical ways to move forward.

Faith can also be an important part of our work together. My Christian worldview naturally shapes who I am, and I’m happy to incorporate faith into your counseling experience if it’s meaningful to you. You set the tone for how much or how little we discuss faith.

My Background

I earned a Master’s in Psychology from John Jay College in 2012 and a Master’s in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2015. I’m currently working toward my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential under the supervision of Nate Bailey, MA, LPC.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my kids—cycling, sitting around a bonfire, or exploring nature together. I also love cooking for family and friends, and some of my favorite memories include board games and friendly competition after a good meal.

How I Help You Move Forward

Your story matters, and I use evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helping you understand and shift negative thought patterns.
  • Trauma-Focused CBT: Addressing the impact of past trauma to create a path forward.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Exploring different parts of yourself to bring healing and harmony.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Strengthening emotional bonds in relationships.

Take the First Step Toward Healing

If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start building a healthier, more balanced life, I’d love to walk alongside you. Counseling is a courageous choice, and I’m here to help you every step of the way.

Let’s work together to create the healing and connection you’ve been longing for.
